Talk by SPRING Singapore

A talk entitled “Bringing Research to Market – A Technology Commercialisation Grant from SPRING Singapore” was held at the CeLS auditorium on 16 October 2009. The talk which was well received, was conducted by SPRING Singapore.

The talk was organized to publicise funding options provided by SPRING Singapore for NUS PIs, Post-docs and PhDs should they (or their collaborators) have thoughts of spinning-off research/technology ideas on the side, or even to kick-off a technopreneurship career. Talk on Animal Protocol by CMC and IACUC

A talk on “Problems and Pitfalls in Protocol Approval” was held on 14 October 2009 at the CeLS Auditorium. The event was jointly organized by Life Sciences Institute (LSI), Institutional Animal Care & Use Committee (IACUC) and Comparative Medicine Centre (CMC).

The two speakers were Emeritus Prof Lam Toong Jin, Chairman of IACUC and, Dr Patrick Sharp, Director of Comparative Medicine Center. At the end of the talk, participants left the event with a wealth of knowledge on protocols on the use of animals for their research work.
